From Eskenazi Health:
"The Sky Farm at Eskenazi Health is part of the healing environment that makes up the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital and Eskenazi Health campus. The Sky Farm is open to patients, staff and the community as a space to engage with food and learn how it grows, how to prepare fresh produce and why it’s important to health.
The Sky Farm includes approximately 5,000 square feet of available growing spaces in which more than 2,200 pounds of fresh produce was harvested from the Sky Farm during its first year. Items grown include kale, tomatoes, carrots, beets, turnips, fennels, greens, lettuce mix, arugula, spinach, tatsoi, broccoli, cabbage, leeks, scallions and peas, in addition to cut flowers, pumpkins and squash. A bee hive with 500 bees is used to increase crop production. Produce grown on the Sky Farm is integrated into the menus at the Ingram Micro Mobility Marketplace and Café Soleil.
The Sky Farm at Eskenazi Health is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It was built on the top of the Eskenazi Health Outpatient Care Center and can be accessed by taking the Green Elevators in the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital to the seventh floor."
